The UP-7200 can print out an image from a wide variety of input sources
including video equipment, personal computers and workstations that accept
a horizontal scanning frequency of15kHz to 89kHz. This also includes the
ability to output High Definition Video Signals, too.
Automatic and Manual Signal Detection
The UP-7200 features 52 signal frequency presets for automatic signal
detection. When receiving the input signal, the unit automatically detects
its ideal frequency from the presets and locks onto the signal for the
optimum image capture and printing. The frequency can also be adjusted
manually for enhanced printing. Up to four adjusted settings can be stored
in the built-in user memory.
Versatile Inputs Capability
Four BNC connectors for a 525 line analog RGB system, a DIN 4-pin connector
for S-Video (Y/C), and a BNC connector for NTSC composite signal are provided.
An analog RGB high scan signal and HDVS signal can also be input via the
DN 50-pin multiple connector. Optional cables facilitate the connection
of Apple Macintosh, IBM Pcs and workstations.
Superb Printing Performance
Up to 7 1/8 x 9 1/2 inches (180 x 240mm) size full color images (525
NTSC video) can be reproduced using the optional UPC-7011 Letter sized
print media. Hi-scan (Macintosh II) full color image can be printed at
high print speed in approx. 125 seconds. Sonys advanced dye transfer sublimation
thermal printing technique ensure near-photographic images with over 16
million color variations for each pixel.
Adjustable Print Size
Both the vertical and horizontal length of printed image can be scaled
down - up to 80% in 1% increments. The captured image can also be reduced
to 64% and printed out.
3D Function
The UP-7200 has a unique 3D function. Once the image is acquired, the
moving parts of the image are printed in color while the still portions
of the image are printed in black and white. This 3D function is convenient
for microscopy applications and for motion analysis in the field of sports
analysis.
Menu Operation
Various settings can be easily selected using the function menu displayed
on the units liquid crystal display (LCD) and when connected to a monitor.
Settings include the following:
*Input select from Composite video, S-video, RGB and Hi-Scanning signals
*Hi-Scanning select for frequency preset selection
*Pixel quality covers sharpness, printed size adjustment and motion
correct switch setting
*Clear
*Color adjustment
*Caption setting
*Set-up for horizontal and vertical picture size, H/V picture shift,
aspect ratio,
print mode selection, etc.
Up to 20 Consecutive Printing
Up to 20 copies of the same image can be printed out by setting the
print quantity.
Multiple Print Modes
In addition to the full size print mode, two, four, six, eight or sixteen
different or duplicated 525 line video images can be captured and printed
simultaneously on one page.
Similarly, either four or six different high scan images conforming
to 52 preset signal frequencies can be printed on one page.*
*Note: Up to four different images of the HDVS signal can be printed
on one page.
External Remote Controls, Operation
The UP-7200 can be remotely controlled via an external computer through
the RS-232C interface. A supplied remove control unit can be used in both
wired and wireless operation depending on the users application. An FS-20
foot switch is available separately.
